I have worked in the English National Health Service (NHS) with data, its users and the processes that produce it since 1981. In 2018 I retired from full time work as Head of Information and Statistics for Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and now work part time for the Trust as an Information Specialist. These articles are an attempt to share my observations and what I have learnt about the NHS, so that others might find something that helps them to make faster progress with their work and in their roles.
